This is a successful case study of an intelligent integrated production line for four-color cardboard box printing, slotting, gluing, and bundling.
In early 2026, our fully automatic 4-color carton printing, slotting, gluing and strapping intelligent integrated line was officially put into full production at a leading packaging enterprise in Romania. As a benchmark project for high-end intelligent corrugated carton manufacturing in Eastern Europe, this production line integrates five core processes: 4-color high-speed flexo printing, high-precision slotting, full-automatic gluing, stable strapping and intelligent palletizing, realizing the entire unmanned production from corrugated paper feeding to finished carton delivery. With high intelligence, high stability and high-quality consistency, it has helped customers double efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality, setting a model for intelligent carton production in Romania and the EU market.
The Romanian customer is a well-known local comprehensive packaging manufacturer, mainly producing high-standard packaging for food, electronics, home appliances and industrial logistics, serving many first-tier EU brands with strict requirements for printing accuracy, forming strength, production efficiency, safety and environmental protection in full compliance with EU standards. Before introducing our integrated line, the customer relied on traditional semi-automatic equipment for a long time, facing pain points such as low production efficiency, slow order change, high labor dependence, unstable printing registration, inconsistent carton forming, high defective rate, and difficulty in balancing large and small batch orders. To break through the bottleneck of capacity and quality, the customer screened global suppliers of fully automatic intelligent carton production line, 4-color printing integrated line, high-speed carton forming equipment, and finally selected our customized intelligent integrated line solution after strict technical comparison, factory inspection and scheme verification.
This 4-color high-speed carton printing, slotting, gluing and strapping integrated line is designed with a stable running speed of 260 sheets per minute. The whole line adopts full servo drive, industrial-grade central intelligent control system and high-definition touch man-machine interface, realizing digital, automatic and intelligent collaborative operation of the whole process, with outstanding core advantages.
One-click intelligent order change, flexible and efficient production
The whole line supports one-click import of order data, automatic call of process parameters and intelligent size adjustment. Operators can complete order change without complex debugging. The traditional order change time of more than 1 hour is shortened to 3–5 minutes, perfectly adapting to the production demand of multi-variety, small batch and fast delivery in the European market. At the same time, it can be connected with ERP/MES system to realize real-time monitoring of production data, full traceability of quality and automatic statistics of output, making production management more transparent and efficient.
4-color high-precision printing, quality up to EU export grade
The equipment is equipped with a 4-color high-definition flexo printing system and high-precision registration control, with registration error stably controlled within ±0.1mm. The patterns are clear, colors are uniform and three-dimensional, without ghosting, missing printing or offset problems, fully meeting the high appearance requirements of food packaging and brand packaging. Combined with precision slotting, creasing and corner cutting processes, the cartons have uniform size, regular creases and beautiful forming, completely solving the problem of unstable forming of traditional equipment.
Automatic gluing and strapping, unmanned closed-loop production
From automatic paper feeding, 4-color printing, slotting and creasing, gluing and forming to strapping and palletizing, the whole line realizes unmanned continuous production, reducing 6–8 operators per shift, greatly reducing labor costs and human errors. The equipment runs stably at 260 sheets per minute, with a daily output of finished cartons exceeding 100,000 pieces. The production efficiency is 3–5 times that of the traditional semi-automatic line, and the delivery capacity is greatly improved.
High stability and low energy consumption, in line with EU safety standards
The equipment is designed in strict accordance with European CE safety standards and electrical standards, equipped with safety protection, emergency stop, fault self-diagnosis and alarm functions. The core components adopt international first-line brands, which can meet 24-hour continuous high-load operation. At the same time, the energy-saving optimization design is adopted, and the energy consumption is reduced by more than 30% compared with similar equipment, balancing high-efficiency production and green environmental protection.
Since official production, the 4-color intelligent carton integrated line has run stably with reliable quality. The defective rate of customers' finished cartons has dropped below 0.5%. The printing effect, forming strength and appearance consistency have all reached EU export standards, and been highly recognized by downstream brand customers.
